STEADY

A Trauma-informed 3-Session Counselling Container

Something in you isn't settling.

Maybe it's a low hum of tension that never quite switches off. Maybe it's the same loops in your relationships, or a quiet sense that something is fundamentally off and you can't locate it. STEADY is a space to slow down, understand what is actually happening, and find your footing.

You don't have to know what's wrong.
You just have to notice something isn't right.

When you can't settle, it doesn't stay in one place. It follows you into your relationships, your work, your sleep, your sense of who you are. You find yourself managing more than living. Functioning, but not quite present. Capable, but running on something that isn't sustainable.

That gap between how things look on the outside and how they feel on the inside is exactly where this work begins.

Three sessions.
One issue.
Real movement.

STEADY is a focused trauma-informed counselling container built around you, not a script. Elate Relational Trauma Recovery works with one specific issue that is causing you distress, using somatic awareness, relational conversation, and practical somatic and cognitive tools paced to where you actually are.

This is not a program. It is not a protocol. It is a structured, responsive space where the work is shaped by your context, your nervous system, and what you bring into the room.

What happens across the three sessions

Across three 60-minute sessions, the work may include: understanding what has been happening in your life recently and what it has been costing you; identifying the patterns beneath your reactions; exploring the connection between your body, your emotions, and your behaviour; uncovering core beliefs; practicing nervous system regulation; building a tailored practical toolkit you can apply immediately; and clarifying a direction for what comes next.

The arc moves from unsettled toward oriented, from reactive toward regulated, from confused toward clear. Not linearly. Not in full. Responsive to you.

STEADY is for you if

You feel chronically unsettled, in your body, your relationships, or your sense of self, and you want to understand it and work through it, not just cope with it.

You may have tried other approaches and found them too distant, too clinical, or too focused on symptoms without touching what is underneath. You may carry complexity that hasn't always been welcomed in other rooms.

You don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear story. You need to arrive willing to look at it.

STEADY is not for you if

You are looking for crisis support, psychiatric care, or a purely protocol-driven, diagnosis-first approach. You are not willing to reflect or engage actively in the work. You are not willing to explore how your nervous system, relationships, and sense of self interact. You want truth softened. Care lives here. Sugar-coating doesn't.

What clients typically notice by the end of Session 3:

We work with the whole of you, what your mind makes sense of and what your body already knows, because nothing in your experience operates in isolation. By the end of session 3 you may notice clearer understanding of what has been driving the distress. Increased awareness of behavioural and emotional patterns. Practical somatic and cognitive tools to apply straight away. A stronger sense of internal steadiness. And a felt sense of having been met, not managed.

Even modest shifts in clarity and regulation can significantly change how someone experiences their life.
